Customer Care Manager

Tonic Living has an immediate requirement for a full-time Customer Care Manager.

The ideal candidate provides friendly, honest, timely and accurate customer service through multiple channels (phone, email, in-store). Our customer service representatives main responsibilities include order entry with a firm understanding of work-flows and processes, product knowledge, and product availability. Most importantly, the ability to respond and resolve customer issues in a professional, caring manner that drives customer appreciation, loyalty and retention.

Key Duties:

  • Proven strong customer service skills with related work experience.

  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner and maintain a professional, calm and empathetic communication style.

  • Excellent computer skills with Google Office; including Gmail, Sheets, Docs and Calendar experience.

  • Keep managers informed of potential escalation situations and emerging trends.

  • Maintain up-to-date contact records with all relevant data and details including customer, contact, product, follow-up, and resolution.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)

  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven time management skills, ability to work to deadlines and strong attention to detail.

  • General familiarity with database navigation and use.

  • In the course of fielding inquiries, you will create and edit orders.

  • Custom sales orders will also be reviewed and distributed to the proper department in manufacturing.

  • Ordering of office supplies and materials.

  • You will coordinate between various departments to aid in the production and fulfillment of orders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of a post-secondary program or combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of previous customer care experience

  • 1+ years of previous call centre experience

  • Display professionalism and pleasant phone demeanour

  • Exceptional communication skills with a high sense of urgency

Fulfillment Associate

Tonic Living has an immediate requirement for a full-time Fulfillment Associate.

The successful candidate is detail oriented and displays strong organizational skills and keep up with a busy, multi-tasking environment. As a Fulfillment Associate, you will work in other departments when needed and must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities include:

  • Stuffing and tagging pillows

  • Cutting fabric

  • Assisting with new shipments

  • Preparing fabric swatch orders

  • Labelling merchandise

  • Unpacking and processing

  • Organizing and storing

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education

  • Minimum of 1 year retail stockroom, fulfillment, and inventory experience

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities

  • Ability to work competently in an Apple Mac environment with Google “G Suite” is a definite asset

    Sales & Design Associate (part-time)

    Tonic Living has an immediate requirement for a part-time Sales & Design Associate. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate from an Interior Design Technology program, who is highly motivated and self-driven.

    The Sales & Design Associate’s goal is to develop sales orders from all clients. The successful candidate needs design, estimating, time management as well as sales skills to be successful. You will mainly be responsible for assisting the sales team with custom quote requests, answering customer calls, as well as assisting walk-in customers with all of their shopping needs including the selection, and demonstration of merchandise.


    • You will greet clients as they enter the showroom and assist, as necessary, including with order pick-ups when necessary.

    • You will promptly answer quote inquires via email for our custom program as well as assist in taking customer calls

    • You will consult with customers to solidify their design ideas, suggesting fabric patterns, treatment details, and fabric pairings.

    • You are responsible for sales of custom products, such as window treatments and pillows.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Confident communication skills, enabling you to problem solve on the fly in a fast paced environment.

    • Excellent organizational skills, you are able to manage multiple tasks and changes in your day-to-day responsibilities.

    • An ability to collaborate with fellow team members to prioritize and respond to all sales inquiries in a timely manner.

    • Consistently handle customer complaints with diplomacy, tact and understanding to maintain customer loyalty and friendship.

    • Passionate about home decor and have a strong eye for detail.

    • Ability to prioritize and effectively communicate.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum College Diploma in interior design, or a related discipline.

    • Minimum 2 years sales experience required; such as interior design, home decor sales.

    Home Decor Seamstress / Sewing Machine Operator

    Tonic Living has an immediate requirement for a full-time Home Decor Seamstress / Sewing Machine Operator.


    • Operating industrial sewing machines such as; single-needle, lockstitch machine, high-speed overlock stitch machine, and serger

    • Assembling decorative, zippered, throw pillow covers and foam bench cushions

    • Check the quality of materials before sewing to ensure they are up to quality standards

    Education and Experience:

    • Experience with home decor weight fabrics, pattern matching, zipper and piping installations.

    • Industrial sewing machine experience is required

    • Experience sewing window treatments preferred

    • Must have strong English

    Contract Photographer and Graphic Designer

    Tonic Living has an immediate requirement for a contract in-house Photographer and Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate is a self-driven jack-of-all-trades who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about photography and design.This is a contract position with the opportunity to become full-time at a later date.     The Photography skills you will bring:

    • Shoot and edit product and lifestyle photography with acute attention to colour accuracy.

    • Proficiency using Lightroom and Photoshop

    • Collaborate with the Creative department to create compelling content for our website, emails, social channels, and product listings.

    • Manage all creative assets, keep database organized and provide assets to team as needed.

    • Video creation would be a major asset. Capture and create short marketing, social and instructional videos. Proficiency using Adobe Premier to edit videos.

    The Graphic Design skills you will bring:

    • Update and design digital and web assets following templates and guidelines set by the creative team.

    • Proficiency using Illustrator and InDesign

    • Create beautiful social assets and artwork for newsletters.

    • Ability to design and prep files for print

    • Strong understanding of typography, colour and graphic design practices

    • Completes projects by coordinating with outside trades and printers.

    Your Experience:

    • A strong portfolio showing both photography and design skills

    • Portfolio of product photography, shot on white seamless

    • 2+ years experience in photography/videography (in-house or freelance)

    • Bonus if you have the ability to shoot and edit video, please include samples if you have them.

    • Strong proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite

    • Solid experience working with both daylight and studio lighting

    • Strong retouching skills

    • Have good technical knowledge of all camera and lighting equipment, including maintenance.

    • 1+ years experience working on graphic design projects and work examples to show

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a close team environment. Willingness to come up with creative ideas and solutions and take direction.

    • A passion for interior design and decorating
